Story
This painting captures a heron I watched along the Water of Leith one quiet morning. The river was calm, the trees heavy with shade, and just for a moment a soft beam of light broke through the canopy and illuminated the bird perfectly. That single moment of stillness and light became the heart of this artwork.
Herons have such an elegant, statuesque presence, and I wanted to reflect that quiet confidence through the contrast of light and shadow. The dark woodland backdrop frames the bird, letting the soft light highlight every feather and subtle colour shift in its plumage.
This piece is a reminder of the calm that can be found in nature when everything seems to pause for just a second, and the beauty that appears when you slow down enough to notice it.

Due to the limited nature of this item there will be no cash refunds available on this product, the only available option is credit towards another artwork only with the shipping return paid by the customer. If the item is damaged on arrival to you, a full refund will be given via the original payment method and collection for the damaged artwork arranged. Damage MUST be reported within 4 working days of delivery with photo evidence.
