Story
The Highlands are pure magic—an ethereal, untouched beauty that leaves you in awe with every turn on a hike or quiet walk. It’s a place that inspires both wonder and reflection.
This painting is a reflection of my deep love for my home - Scotland, its wildlife, and my drive to push beyond limits. Throughout my career, I’ve heard “you can’t” more times than I can count:
“You can’t get into art school—you’re not good enough.”
“You can’t make a career out of art—only the greats earn after they’re gone.”
“You can’t sell art and be so open on social media—high-end galleries and collectors won’t like it.”
I’ve turned every “can’t” into a “can.” You can absolutely achieve anything you set your mind to. This piece feels like a testament to that resilience.
I paint wildlife and nature to transport you back to cherished memories or remind you of your unique, empathetic love for animals. And, like my journey, I want you to know that you, too, can achieve anything with faith and just the right amount of stubbornness.
