Story
On my first trip to the Isle of May in June 2024, I was astonished to be immediately greeted by thousands upon thousands of petite sea clowns flying in the air above me!
The wind was strong and as we explored the island one puffin in particular with a flash of green in its beak caught my eye.
As it dove down for its regular diet of sand eels that day, some seaweed must also have been scooped up by that delightful orange beak in the process!
We heard one person nearby laugh to his friend he had photographed his first omnivorous puffin. As I painted this I was reminded of that passing comment and landed on the title "A Balanced Diet"
