Inca is a 10-year-old puma now living at Five Sisters Zoo in West Lothian, Scotland. When the facility she had called home for years suddenly closed, her future became deeply uncertain. She needed somewhere safe, and she needed it fast. With no clear path forward, the clock was ticking.
Five Sisters Zoo stepped in and gave her a home. She cannot be released into the wild, so their care is everything to her. When I visited and met her for the first time, I was stopped in my tracks, she was clearly so happy to be at Five Sister's Zoo, zooming around her enclosure. I knew immediately that I wanted to paint her.
Pumas, also known as Mountain Lions or Cougars, span mountainous habitats from North America across to Patagonia.
Right now, Inca is living in a temporary enclosure while Five Sisters Zoo works to raise funds for a purpose-built space designed specifically around her needs - with room to roam and climb to her heart's content.
I approached Five Sisters Zoo to collaborate, and together we are turning Inca's portrait into a timed print release. Every penny of profit goes directly to the zoo's enclosure fund.
When you have this print on your wall, I want you to look at it with pride, knowing you helped that cat.
How It Works
1
Sign up to the mailing list. Be the first to know the moment the prints go on sale. Already subscribed? You'll be notified automatically.
2
The timed print release opens May 1st. Available in small, medium and large rare edition canvas. Once the window closes, these prints will not be available again - the number sold becomes the final print run.
3
Every penny of profit is donated to Five Sisters Zoo to fund Inca's new, purpose-built enclosure.
4
One lucky order will also receive an original hand-drawn sketch of Inca - included as a surprise with a randomly selected print order.
